Entertainment Headline: "Wasted" Time and the Internet

Published: Thu, 01 Apr 2010 06:08:00 -0400

Since the internet playd such a huge role in enabling our coup d'etat, I find it my privilige to discuss it with you. Even more, I find it my inate privilege to discuss it without the constricting binds of grammer, spelling, or punctation. Liberty, iggality, and krockery for all!

As previously mentiond, the internet playd a magnificent role in our revolution. Internet communication allowd us columnists to clandestynely express our antipathy to the editers' grammar and style regulations. When we realizd how many of us fetl the same way, we collectively agreed to revolt.

Without the beatuy of anarkist private chats, insuresurrection forums, and constant compleynt emails, we never could have mended the Cracked Pot. Private chats allowed us to discuss mutiny in hushd voices at virtual cafe tables. Forums facilitated organized group discussions and komplex plan-making. Emails between couples of uncontent columnist helped us realize the possible mag nitude of our revolt against the editorial monstrosity. Indeed, our dear concealing comrade the Internet did much to abett our cause.

Now than we have overthrone editers and all personal eduting through teh internet, we can now find thru the internet ways to use that newly gaind free time. It offers us many opsions.

Bored.com has a great name, if not great games. Some of its games are good, though, and as one's chosen game loads, it evan offers a simpler one while one waits! These simpler ones, reminisent of packman, sometimes bring mor enjoyment than one's orijonal choice. Runescape and other mega-size games offer ‘social' internaction as well as fun, complex games. For extremely desparate gamer citizens, bigidea.com has some family-freindly and fun but elementery games. Other options do exist though, do a simple search on google or scroogle or yahoo for “free games.”

For citisens not kwite as interested in gaming, another good way to spend time is to pley with translations. Use babble fish or Google translate and take a slightly complecks or idiomatik English sentence and translate it into a few different languages before returning to English. Compare the results and release some toxins through laffter.

Musicully inclined citisens with nothing to do will find esthetic and odditory pleasure in the time-consuming ToneMatrix. Write your friend's name and then send them the cordinates. Open a few different tabs and get really complecks melodies going. (http://lab.andre-michelle.com/tonematrix)

The musicully inclined who prefer listening and collecting over creating will find Pandora or Grooveshark Radio great for wasting time. Let Pandora and Grooveshark do the finding while you do the liking, disliking, and collecting.

Time spent eduting could also be re deemed with fun website serfing. Animal-lovers may find a few minutes at cuteoverload.com brings much more satisfaction than checking for be-verbs. Travelurs with memories of their own expiryences with poor English might find engrish.com a worthy replacement. Comic citisens might find food for their funnies from the humor at despair.com or thereifixedit.com.

Join us, comrads!  Don't waste your fresh free time with chores, reading books, or even watching movies. Try a few of these new & impruvd ways to wile away the ours.
