Kayla Shipp
Introducing...the lovely Kayla Shipp. The oldest daughter of three
children, Kayla lives with her parents in Simpsonville, South
Carolina. She is a seventeen year old senior and plans to go to
college next year and major in English and become a writer as an
adult. This comes as no surprise to Kayla's friends because she makes
no secret of her love for literature. Kayla has a fantastic literary
sensibility and her most recent literary adventure is "The Blythes Are
Quoted" by L.M. Montgomery, Kayla's second favorite author of all
time.
Her favorite author is Jane Austen and her favorite literary
character is Lizzie Bennett from Pride and Prejudice. Kayla says that
"She and I are quite similar in vices and personality. (Isn't it
strange how I talk about her like she's a real person?) She's
infinitely more witty than I am, and I love to read [Pride and
Prejudice] over and over again."
Kayla has been gifted with several talents, including writing. Her
creative side manifests itself also in her daily life. In order to
remember people that she meets, Kayla likes to give them their own
unique names. As far as entertainment goes, Kayla loves to listen to
music. She has rather eclectic tastes and will listen to most any
genre of music. Additionally, although Kayla prefers reading, she
watches TV occasionally and particularly loves to watch Monk.
If Kayla were a super hero, she would want to be invisible so that she
could travel the world for free! If she could travel the world for
free, she would love to take a grand cruise of the British Isles and
Western Europe and then photograph everything in sight. Her funniest
memory was when she, her sister, and her Mom accidentally went into
the men's room at the airport. And, if you were to go to her house
right now and open her refrigerator, you would find "pickles and
eggnog. And some other stuff, but that's all the really important
stuff."
As for Kayla herself? There's some other stuff too. But for now, let's give this wonderful writer a hand. *claps and cheers wildly*
