Introductory LetterPublished: Sun, 30 Nov 2008 23:57:00 -0500 Dear Readers,
Merry Christmas from The Cracked
Pot! After much hard work, all of the sections have put together another wonderful issue to kick off the holiday season. The News section features a diverse line-up, including sex trafficking, Proposition 8, and an in-depth report on the recently elected Barack Obama. Class Reports has an article about marine biology that made me, the girl who claims no scientific knowledge whatsoever, rather interested in marine life, and Sports section has a plethora of interviews with TPS athletes and an article about how difficult it can be for homeschoolers to participate in sports. Make sure you peruse these sections carefully! Columns, as always, showcases a plethora of columns about different topics. This month, you can read about the election, life in different countries (Spain, China, and Turkey), cream as used in desserts, devotional columns, and more! Head on over to this section; you're sure to find something to interest you. The Features section has come up with an entirely new theme that might need some explaining: this month, we decided to focus on the next generation. Along with the normal spotlights and movie, book, and music reviews, each reporter wrote at least one article about an issue close to his or her heart. There are a lot of inspiring articles this month, and I'd encourage you to go check it out.
On a different note, we are still looking for competent writers to fill our vacant positions. The positions that are still open are as follows: News Reporter, Sports Reporter, and Class Reporter. If you are interested in applying for any of those positions, please see the TCP applications located on your student page and send it to infernalnuisance@gmail.com. See you in January! Lizzie Spotts Senior Editor The Cracked Pot
