Introductory Letter

Published: Fri, 31 Oct 2008 22:58:00 -0400

Dear Readers,

Welcome to the first issue in The Cracked Pot’s sixth year!  Everyone on staff has worked extremely hard to produce it for your reading pleasure, and I’m proud to announce that all this hard work has paid off.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with The Cracked Pot, it is an entirely student-run e-zine which is published on the first of every month.  We have a wonderful staff, whom you can get to know more in our Meet the Staff section.  The Cracked Pot is divided into five main sections:

  • Features, containing media reviews (movies, books, music, etc.), student-submitted artwork and fiction, and opinion pieces.  Since Features always has a theme, it also showcases various articles relating to that theme.  This month’s theme is entertainment.
  • News, which focuses on both TPS-specific and world news.
  • Columns, which features independent columns which are always written on a specific topic.  This year, we have a record number of columnists, so be sure to check out this section!
  • Sports, which presents interviews with TPS athletes as well as news from the sporting world.
  • Class Reports, completely revamped this year, now contains reports on a specific section of TPS classes.  This month, Class Reports is focusing on languages.

Be sure to browse around in all the various sections, reading anything that catches your eye; there are lots of interesting articles everywhere.  As always, if you have a letter to the editor that you would like published or considered, please e-mail me at TCPEditor@pottersschool.org.  I’m always thrilled to receive feedback from our valued readers!

Happy reading!
