As I Look Into Your Eyes
By AndrewS

As I look into Your eyes,
I see all that has been and all that will be,
When Your eyes flicker and flash at me,
I cower and shiver in demise.
My body tenses as I realize
That I see You, the Holy Three.
I am captivated; I cannot break free
Your gaze stuns me and I gasp in surprise.
Your power and strength glisten,
As the ruler of every nation and race
You command me and I listen.
You, who are present in every place,
The One who has died and risen,
I want to be in Your strong embrace.

Nothing
By JohnS

Nothing is what is in my mind.
Nothing is how many miles on a new car.
Nothing is what you see when blind.
Nothing is what is in the empty glass at the bar.
Nothing is the sound when you are in the ground.
Nothing is what started this.
Nothing is the sound after you have drowned.
Nothing is the feeling in the great abyss.
Nothing is what the world was created from.
Nothing is what you have when poor.
Nothing is what you feel when numb.
Nothing is what I’m willing to endure.
Nothing is how I started out.
Nothing is my amount of money.
Nothing is what you get when you pout.
Nothing is what seems to be funny.

Hymn
By RebeccaW

Sing praises to the King!
For He knows us all.
From every swimming thing
To small lizards that crawl,
And all the birds that sing.
He protects them all.
From bright green leaf of spring,
To rotting branch of fall,
And the heat summer will bring.
He guides them all.
Satan boasts with broken wing,
And Hell itself is small,
Even death has lost its sting.
He overwhelmed them all.
Sing praises to the King!
For He loves us all.

And the Music Seized Her
By SarahW

Dedicated to my talented and beautiful sister, Hannah

She felt the music seize her entire being
Fill her soul to the brim with a vast mélange of emotion
The music innervated her fingertips, she could sense the rain
Inside that song she felt the very motion
The storm, the velvet, the steel, the cold
And in that music she could smell the familiar
And the unfamiliar—she felt it all unfold
There were tastes in the music—the bitter and the sweet
Tastes of home and of long-lost memories
She heard love in the music, and anger like concrete
And all the emotions from thousands of songs written over the years
She could see the music—colors radiant and alien
Reds like blood and blues like the sky and like tears
Yellows like the sun, greens like new life in spring
Brown like a baby’s soft hair, purple like dusk
White like blank paper or like a dove’s wing
And other colors exotic and unknown
She lived in the music, felt it seize her soul.

Fear
By KerrW

Fear, it comes, in the night
In the day and all around
Miserably you hear the sound
It keeps you too afraid to fight

There seems no way to keep right
In misery you become drowned
Until at last you’re finally found
By the one who has all power and might

Fear, no longer is it a pain
Gone, destroyed, you cry no more

You can finally let go of the chain
The one for years you barely bore

Fearlessness you finally attain
Risen up from the floor.
