Wesley Baird has taken classes at The Potter’s School for three years.  In his first year, he took Anatomy and Physiology with Mrs. Wheeler, and English 9 with Ms. Gaines. In his second year, he took Latin 1 with Mr. Spotts, Government and Constitutional Law with Mr. Futoran, and Grammar and Composition with Ms. Lavorante.  This year, he is taking Latin 2, World History, Advanced Chemistry, and Chess.  This is Wesley’s first year working for The Cracked Pot. Some of his favorite hobbies include playing tennis, playing Halo 3, and training in the martial arts. He plans on attending the University of South Florida (USF), a local college, for his first two years, and then maybe attending Florida Southern University. For a major, he is leaning toward a degree in Chemistry but will see where the Lord leads him. Wesley currently lives in Saint Petersburg, Florida, with his younger sister, Victoria, a former student of the school, his mother, who is a stay-at-home mom, and his Dad, who is a Database Administrator, as well an assistant professor at the University of South Florida.

Ethan Samsel, a junior, is a new student to The Potter’s School, though he has been home-schooled for his entire life. Born in Jackson, Mississippi, on December 29, 1990, he lived with his family in the state’s capitol for nine years before moving to Clinton, a suburb of Jackson, where he currently resides. Ethan lives with his mom (Beth), dad (Mark), and two sisters (Whitney, 11, and Missy, 13). He also has two older brothers (Jack, 24, and Jeremy, 25) and an older sister (Christy, 33). The proud uncle of three handsome nephews and one beautiful niece, he is awaiting the arrival of another nephew. Ethan attends a Presbyterian church in his hometown and is looking forward to a mission trip to Peru in December, 2007. Since March 26, 2005, Ethan has been a black belt and has been awarded medals nationally several times. For two years he debated in Lincoln-Douglas at the regional and national levels, and, in his spare time, Ethan loves to read a good book (he is currently reading Winston Churchill’s "History of the English Speaking People"), and he also enjoys a good real-time-strategy computer game. Ethan is considering going into politics to attempt to change situations in our country that need rectifying. He is thinking about a possible major of political science with a minor in business.

Annie Yee
is fifteen years old and lives with her parents in California. This is her third year at The Potter’s School, but her first year writing for The Cracked Pot.  She hopes to become a photojournalist and go around the world taking pictures of all the amazing and controversial things happening in the world. Music was her first love, and her favourite band is Mae. Annie’s mother is a piano teacher, so she has studied piano for most of her life. It took ten years for her to realize she actually liked playing the piano, but now she appreciates it very much. She enjoys talking online with her friends, procrastinating on her homework, and cutting her own hair.
