Tiffany Yonts, an almost-eighteen-year-old currently located in Cary, NC (just outside of Raleigh), takes on an enormous amount of responsibility with her position with The Cracked Pot.  “This is my fourth and final year [with TCP],” she says.  “I was the Features Editor for the first two years, and this is my second consecutive year working as the Senior Editor.”

Aside from organizing The Cracked Pot, Tiffany works at her local GameStop store and does homework.  She has been with The Potter’s School for four years and has taken a wide variety of classes.  “My all-time favorite class was Advanced Chemistry with Dr. Ryan," she explains.  "We had so much fun in that class, and I learned so much.  Dr. Ryan is an amazing teacher.  Rhetoric with Mrs. Howat has been enjoyable, as well.  I’ve read a lot of great discourses . . . plus, Mrs. Howat is just plain awesome.  I just couldn’t quit after Rhetoric I!  I also really enjoyed Precalculus and Discrete Mathematics with Mrs. Martin.  I know that sounds strange, since I don’t like math very much, but it was a great class.  Mrs. Martin let us be our goofy selves.  And races with GregoryS always spiced things up.”

She doesn’t only work, though!  Tiffany enjoys writing fanfiction, playing video-games, and doing various nerdy things (“studying website design, reading manga, participating in text-based role-playing sessions . . . stuff like that,” she says).  She loves all things musical, whether it’s singing, playing music, or listening to music.  Some of her favorite bands are Evanescence, AFI, Paramore, Blaqk Audio, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Finger Eleven, Lacuna Coil, The Dear & Departed, Scarlet Grey, and Disturbed.  “I’ll stop there so I don’t kill anyone,” she says with a laugh.

Tiffany loves watching TV, her favorite shows being Heroes, American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, 30 Rock, Saturday Night Live, Alias, My Name is Earl, and The Grimm Adventures of Billy and Mandy.  Some of her favorite movies are V for Vendetta, Pirates of the Caribbean: the Curse of the Black Pearl, Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas, The Last Samurai, The Holiday, Zoolander, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Unbreakable, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, The Sixth Sense, I, Robot, A Knight’s Tale, The Illusionist, Kung Pow: Enter the Fist, The Emperor’s New Groove, and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

Tiffany loves reading books, such as Faust by Wolfgang von Goethe, Notes from Underground by Fyodor Dostoevsky, Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, Night by Elie Wiesel, and Angels and Demons by Dan Brown.  As mentioned above, Tiffany reads a lot of manga.  Her favorites include Monster, Death Note, Yotsuba&!, Petshop of Horrors, Dolls, Yu-Gi-Oh!: Millennium World, D.Gray-Man, and Naruto.

On a more serious note, Tiffany has several ideas for the rest of her life.  “Vocationally,” she says, “I’d really like to become an Entertainment Journalist, preferrably for music or video-games.  I’d also like to teach Chemistry one day.  But other than that, I really want to settle down and be a godly wife and mother, because I think that’s what I’m meant to do."
