Jessica New is just your average 15-year-old living life in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is the fourth of five kids, and she has been home-schooled for her entire life. She has been with The Potter’s School for four years, and has been writing for The Cracked Pot for approximately 2 ½ years. She is in her freshman year of high-school, and is currently taking five TPS classes and four classes in Raleigh. Jessica enjoys painting, swimming for the YMCA, writing, hanging out with friends, shopping, listening to music, blowing things up (i.e. cooking), watching TV, and various other activities. She also strongly enjoys writing biographies for her “benevolent dictators”—a.k.a. her TCP editors.

Andrew Pachulski:
At age 16, he currently attends Junior High-School courses online at The Potter’s School. Christian Ethics, especially the topics of moral law and human destiny as well as how they interrelate, has always fascinated Andrew. In his spare time, he writes many articles and short stories illustrating the critical importance of God in everyday life. Books showing the timelessness of human nature along with how humans have dealt with everyday issues throughout time always prove of interest to Andrew. The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne, Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmund Rostand and The Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Robert Heinlein currently rank as his three favorite books. Andrew has a wonderful dog named “Ody” (not Odie, as in the dog from Garfield) after King Odysseus of Ithaca, from Homer’s Odyssey. Andrew abhors passive verbs and his philosophy on life states that good writers must purge the world of passive verbs. Andrew adores the =] instant message smiley and uses it excessively in emails, instant message conversations, and all of his TPS classes.

Margot Brose
, age 12, is a native resident of southwestern Wyoming and the youngest of three children. She loves reading, especially manga. She also likes pulling pranks, watching anime, and sewing. She cannot be philosophical to save her life, hates algebra with every fiber of her being, and was once described as “a devil in angel’s garb.” She loves reciting random facts at high speeds and beating her two older brothers, Dan (18) and John (16), on various video games. She also enjoys musicals, acting, and getting distracted. When she graduates from high-school, she wants to attend a prestigious law school and become a vicious and infamous lawyer. Until then, she must content herself with sitting around and watching Fullmetal Alchemist and Fruits Basket while a moose stares moodily in through the window.

Rebekah Curry
is a sixteen-year-old junior currently residing in the People's Republic of Lawrence, home of the University of Kansas. A student in her third year at TPS, she finds it difficult to believe that she's now an upperclassman and qualifies as one of the “big kids.” When not engaged in her studies, she can be found attempting to write fiction and formalist poetry, making graphics with Photoshop, and acting in her new capacity as a member of the TCP staff. She hopes to someday become a professional writer, or at least to mentally compose heartwrenching stanzas while standing behind the register in the ten-items-or-less line. Expressions she would possibly use to describe herself include “generic Midwesterner,” “anti-Romanticist,” and “enemy of groupthink.” She has been a political conservative since kindergarten. Her predilictions include Tolkien, early music, crunchy peanut butter, and the foreign words and phrases section of the dictionary; her aversions include Poe, klezmer, artificial cherry flavoring, and the use of “impact” as a verb. Among her faults are writing sentences longer than half of the Gettysburg Address, obsessing over the possessive gerund, and thinking too much. She will leave you to determine her virtues. During 2007-08, she is taking HS Latin III and Introduction to Biblical Hebrew under the respective tutelage of Cap'n Salty and Dr. Kauk.

Maxwell Moser
(Max) is a sophomore living in Boise, Idaho. This is his second year with TPS and his first with The Cracked Pot. He considers himself a “movie-holic” and enjoys analyzing movie plots and characters in an attempt to further assist his own screenwriting. His love of movies provides the continual challenge of placing God first in his life, which he strives to do. When he is not working on movies, he can be found camping, hiking, mountain biking, watching football (go Boise State Broncos!!), playing tennis, playing ping-pong, snowboarding, or, most often during this time of year, doing school. He played the piano for six years and then switched to the viola for three years, but has recently switched back to piano. He enjoys listening to music of almost any genre, from soundtracks to metal. His favorite bands include Kutless, RED, Anberlin, Five for Fighting, and Relient K. His goal in life is to become a professional screenwriter/director and use this skill to make movies that glorify God and further His kingdom. He is a Mac user; and if you would like to contact him to argue about the merits of Macs over PCs (or for any other reason) his e-mail address is on the TPS yearbook.

Meredith King
is a fifteen-year-old tenth-grader living in Berea, Kentucky. She has been home-schooled all her life and this is her second year at The Potter’s School. She takes Advanced Composition. Dancing is her favorite thing to do and she trains in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and lyrical. She also enjoys acting, using funky words, chatting, watching and quoting Star Wars, and riding thrill rides. Most people find her to be a fairly insane and crazy person and logic is a very foreign word to her. She loves God, smiles at life, and appreciates a good sense of humor. Meredith wants to share her joy and outlook on life with everyone and see the whole world smile.
