Jennifer Bauman (18) was born January 9th, 1990 and lives with her two brothers in Hillsboro, Oregon. Her brother Matthew is an alumnus of the school. She is currently taking Basic Web Design with Mr. Madison and Research Paper Writing with Mrs. Zylstra. As a senior, she has begun making plans for after high school. She tentatively plans on majoring in either publishing at Bob Jones University or English at Cedarville University, though she may spend a year working before moving on to college. When asked about the past year, Jennifer said, “This past year has been full of experiences, both welcome and unwelcome. I had what may have been the best summer of my life. I joined the Literary London group and had a wonderful time. To slightly dampen the trip, however, I also moved across the United States from Pennsylvania to Oregon. Farewells were said to old friends and greetings said to new ones. In all it has been an exciting year and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for me in the one ahead.”

Libby Roberts (16) was born January 11th, 1992. She, her sister Caroline, also a student, and parents live in Ballston Spa, New York. She is currently taking Advanced Composition with Ms. Lavorante (section 10) and Latin II with Mr. Spotts (section 1). She works as a paralegal for the Family Court Office in Saratoga County. Reflecting over the past year, Libby says, “Since my 15th birthday I have made it so far through 10th grade, learned guitar, bought two guitars, recorded my first fully self-composed album, and got a job. I'm pretty happy.”

Alan Gagnon (18) was born on January 16th, 1990. The oldest of six, he lives in New Hampshire with his three brothers and two sisters. His brother, Samuel, also attends the school. He is currently taking German 1 with Frau Gilliam (section 1). He also works part-time as an office assistant at the Manchester Community Music School and also substitutes as an organist for various local churches. When asked about anything exciting that happened in the past year, Alan said, “I had the chance to go to Boston in February and listen to an organ concert by the organist of the National Cathedral. As if that wasn’t enough, immediately following, I went out to lunch with the performer, an older organist acquaintance, and the organ professor from Yale! After an exciting lunch, I was also given the opportunity to play on several famous organs in the area. In June, I went to Westminster Summer Organ camp, where I had the chance to play on the world’s largest organ.” Alan is a senior this year with plans on majoring in either Organ Performance or Church Music in college.

Katherine Burgess (15) was born January 20th, 1993, and lives with her brother and sister in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Her sister Kristine also attends the school. She is currently taking 9th Grade English from Ms. Gaines (section 5) and Biology from Mr. Lemon (section 12). When asked about her major accomplishments in the past year, Katherine said, “Last year I did NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) for the first time. I also completed the challenge. Another noteworthy thing was that I finally saw Angkor Wat (after 8 years of living in Cambodia and still not having seen it), and I also attended three Hillsong London concerts which were amazing.”
