I was taking a hike with my family on a very chilly December morning, when the sun shining through the trees struck me. Since it was early still, the dew hung off all the trees in tiny glass beads, reflecting and refracting the sunlight. I found it so beautiful, I couldnt resist. Finding it difficult to capture the full effect on lens, I decided for a close-up of one of the best pines I could find, and there you have the result. Gods creation is very awesome in the morning. His mercies are new every morning, as are His miracles.
On my recent trip to the great city of London, I visited many famous and infamous sites on which history was made, but one of the greatest was Westminster Abbey. I managed to get shots of it on several occasions in differing lights, but I found the view through the trees especially characteristic of London. Besides being the burial site of several great people, Westminster Abbey is a monument to the grandeur of God. It is a piece of art dedicated solely to our Father in Heaven, and this fact makes it all the more beautiful. I think the contrast and comparison between the beauty of Gods creation and that of man generates some feeling for the power of God. Even the great abbey cannot compare to the simple beauty of a tree.
