Christmas Missionary-Kid Traditions

Missionaries have access to different traditions as well as the oppurtunity to get together with their brothers and sisters in the Lord during this wonderful holiday.

The New GP4

This year has undoubtedly been the least eventful that the school has ever known in terms of conferencing software issues. In years past, students and teachers frequently experienced audio and visual problems, and were often "kicked" out of class. However, with the integration and improvement of GP4 conferencing software created by Gather Place, the 2007-'08 school year has run relatively smoothly.

NaNoWriMo Winners

Nine of the twenty-two students and alumnae of the school who participated in the National Novel Writing Month in November made it across the finish line. Collectively, all participants wrote over a half million words. The winners of NaNoWriMo 2007 are: Katherine Burgess, Meredith King, Cheyenne Lehto, Grace Shimaell, Abigail Strube (2006 alumnus), Micah Strube, Kerr W., Sarah W., and Stephanie Young.

Birthdays is a new column that publishes the birthdays of students, alumnae, and teachers that were celebrated during the past month. This past December, students Claire C., John Michael L., Matt M., Ethan N., Ethan Samsel, Caroline S., Micah U., and Tiffany Yonts celebrated their birthdays, as well as alumnae Miriam Early, Laura N., and Felicity T.

With the Christmas season gone, students report weather conditions where they live. Not everyone is getting cold weather. In fact, as students Jaycee Uchida and Emily Metcalf from Hawaii say, the weather's just fine. Those in the Czech Republic, Uganda, Bangladesh, and other locations, however, can only wait for summer.
