School Birthdays

Published: Tue, 01 Jan 2008 00:07:00 -0500

Birthdays is a new column that publishes the birthdays of students, alumnae, and teachers that were celebrated during the past month. It is the wish of The Cracked Pot that in recognizing these birthdays, students may get to know each other better and develop a stronger sense of community.

This past December, students Claire C., John Michael L., Matt M., Ethan N., Ethan Samsel, Caroline S., Micah U., and Tiffany Yonts celebrated their birthdays, as well as alumnae Miriam Early, Laura N., and Felicity T.

Tiffany Yonts (18) was born December 3rd, 1989. She lives in Cary, North Carolina. “In the last year, the best things in my life were my family and my job. I finally realized that I love my family more than anything else, and working at GameStop has been a huge joy. I never want to have a different job in my life (even though I know that I will).”

Miriam Early (13), a 2007 alumnus of the school, was born December 23rd. She lives in the U.S. “The best parts of this year were for me were probably [time] spent at home with my family and at my dance studio. Both are really special to me. Two great things this year were my two dance recitals, both of which went really well. It's been a great year.”

Ethan Samsel (17) was born December 29th, 1990. He lives in Mississippi. “Best thing in life last year: I enjoyed having the opportunity to work at a summer camp near my home all summer long. I got to witness to many children through my actions and example as well as build strong relationships with other teens and college-age kids.”
