Class ReportersPublished: Tue, 01 May 2007 00:10:00 -0400 Rachel Blum is the brilliant younger sister of Sarah Blum. She resides in Queens, NY with her family. She has taken classes with TPS for the past 198274645 years (roughly). Rachel enjoys going to the mall (she's not there to work, she's not there shop, she's just there) and going to places with Sarah and her other pals (the Ace Gang!). Rachel hates playing the piano--she prefers sleeping. Gabrielle Cerberville Grace Halvorsen, a fifteen-year-old Sophomore, enjoys anything having to do with sports! Her favorite sport is soccer, and swimming comes in as a close second. She also loves to play the flute, piccolo, and piano. In addition, she is in a local youth Symphony. During her free time, Grace loves to hang out with her friends, take pictures, or just practice soccer. Cheyenne Lehto, a native of Wisconsin, has enjoyed writing as a Cracked Pot reporter for three years, ever since she began taking classes from The Potter's School. At 13 years old, Cheyenne lives in Green Bay with her mom, dad, and older brother, Zach. While her main interests involve writing, she also enjoys reading and spending time at her church, as well as with family and friends. One day, she hopes to be a journalist for the local newspaper, since her passion is for writing. She also hopes that God will use her in a productive way for His glory. Kevin McMullen is one of the most amazing people on TPS. He has been with us for over 4 years, and we have loved him for even longer. He graduates in June of '07, and will move on to bigger and better things, "To infinity, and beyond," he says. In the meantime, Kevin enjoys playing the mandolin in his hammock for the wonderous forest creatures of Canada. He also likes his night job of doubling for Ryan Seacrest on American Idol. He currently resides with his family in British Columbia, Canada Isabella Pilato was born in 1988 and is the first of three daughters to the Rev and Mrs. Gregory Pilato, currently of New London, Connecticut. Her parents superintended her early education, later giving her access to the instruction of Pope, Shakespeare, Dickens, James, Trollope, and Mrs. Kindel. She received her library card in 1993. At age seven, she made her first journey to the 19th century, and this event marked the beginning of extensive travels to that era. Finding her application for Victorian citizenship rejected, she now attempts to straddle the border of the Past and Present and devotes her leisure time to reading, writing, correspondence, and arguing the point with her sisters. For the past three years, she has edited and published The Delicate Constitution--a quarterly periodical representing the years 1800 to 1900. She fulfills the duties of principle violist of the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Youth Orchestra, founding member of the Captain Frederick Marryat Society, and librarian of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Feeling a distinct inclination for words, she intends to make a thorough study of English Literature in college and to deepen her acquaintance with the Latin language. Hannah Samuels has lived in Fairfax, VA for all of her life. Hannah is 15 years old and the oldest of five children--two boys and three girls, ranging in the ages of 3-15. When she is not occupied with school, Hannah likes to read, do crafts, and hang out with her brothers. Hannahs father is a director of sonar research and development for a small company, and her mother is a home maker who home-schools all five of her children. Hannah enjoys playing the piano and flute and is involved in a home school band along with other TPS students. Hannah also enjoys playing soccer with a home-school league. Hannah is currently taking Physical science sec.4 and English 9 sec.3 Elisabeth Sepulveda (ElisabethS) is 14 years old, and lives in Maine with her 7 siblings, all of whom are home-schooled and play instruments. Her favorite thing to do is gymnastics, and she plays the oboe in the Portland Youth Wind Ensemble and Portland Youth Symphony Orchestra. She enjoys writing books and poems, working at camps and with children, singing and songwriting, exercising, doing anything artsy, teaching and learning, and many other things. In her spare time, she likes to blog and does miscellaneous things on the computer. This is her second year taking classes with TPS, and she loves learning and meeting all the great people.
