News EditorPublished: Tue, 01 May 2007 00:10:00 -0400 Bonnie Cofer is seventeen and a senior in high school. She lives with her parents, sister, and three brothers in Minnetonka, Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis. They have no pets except for a surprisingly noisy aquatic frog.
Bonnie was born in Bethseda, Maryland, but when she was one her her family moved to Austin, Texas. Four years later, the Cofers moved to Minnesota quite a change in climate. But although Bonnie has come to love the cold, snowy weather in her eleven years residence, she still wears cowboy boots.
This is her sixth year with The Potters School and she is currently taking French II with Madame Starosciak and Physics with Mr. Hughes. In her previous years with TPS she took Biology with Mr. Rosenoff, Chemistry with Mr. Hughes and various Latin courses with Mr. Spotts. After graduating from high school, she hopes to go to college and study liberal arts, journalism, or art.
When shes not doing school, Bonnie enjoys playing classical and jazz music on the piano and flute and sewing and cooking with her mom. She also likes to draw and paint and, as a result of the Lord of the Rings craze of several years ago, has become quite good at drawing pictures of pointy eared people wearing cloaks. Bonnie also loves baseball in general and the Minnesota Twins in particular. She enjoys listening to games on the radio, going to Twins games with her dad and brothers, and talking about baseball to any one who will listen.
This is Bonnies second year working with The Cracked Pot and her first year as News editor. She is very excited about the opportunity to serve as an editor and is looking forward to a great year.
