Dear Readers,
Welcome to the November issue of The Cracked Pot! We are very excited to bring you the debut issue of the 2006-2007 school-year. A lot of hard work has been poured into this publication, but we have had a lot of fun developing it, as well. We sincerely hope that you all enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed putting it together!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with The Cracked Pot, it is a student-run e-zine that is published once a month and has a total of eight issues per school-year. There are five main sections, and each section has staff reporters and an editorall of whom you can meet in the new Meet the Staff section. The main sections of The Cracked Pot are:
-
Features, which contains media reviews (reviews of movies, books, TV shows, etc.), opinion pieces, and student-submitted pieces such as artwork and fiction. This section is always themed, and this months theme is entertainment.
-
News, which covers TPS- and home-school-related news from all over the world.
-
Columns, which presents a series of independent columns. This school-year, our permanent columns are: Devotional, Theology, Editorial, Humor, Alumnus, International Correspondent, and Arts and Culture. Our Theology Column is written by TPS parent Rich Yonts. If you have something that you would like to say about the Theology Column, please e-mail your Letter to the Editor to TCPEditor@pottersschool.org.
-
Sports, which brings TPS-related sports news to the public by covering stories on student athletes and other stories that are relevant to TPS.
-
Class Reports, which contains reports on several TPS classes, written by students in those classes. The articles in this section can give you a good idea of what certain classes are like and what they require of their participants.
There are plenty of articles to be read in this issue, so take your time and look around! If you have a letter to the editor that you would like published and/or considered, please e-mail your letter to TCPEditor@pottersschool.org. We love input, so we will be more than happy to read and publish responses to your letters!
So, for now, enjoy, and we will see you again next issue!
