I Love My Lips.  The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything.  The Water Buffalo Song.  Stand Up.  His Cheeseburger.  The Hairbrush Song.

These songs and many more have delighted children of all ages for years.  We all love to laugh as Larry the Cucumber, sings his crazy songs, much to the dismay of Albert.  A few years ago several top artists in the Christian music industry showed everyone that they love Veggie Tales too.  They teamed up and put out an album called "Veggie Rocks."  On this album the bands and singers took some of their favorite Veggie Tales songs and made them their own.

As the name implies, most of these songs become more rock than they are in the original Veggie Tales version.  The complete songlist includes: "Veggie Tales Theme Song," "I Love My Lips," "Promised Land," "In the Belly of the Whale," "The Water Buffalo Song," "I'm So Blue," "The Hairbrush Song," "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything," "I Can Be Your Friend," "His Cheeseburger," and "Stand."  The artists include Rebecca St. James, Sanctus Reel, Audio Adrenaline, Superchic[k], Skillet, Tait, The OC Supertones, Relient K, Paul Colman, and Stevenson (a one time band comprised of Steven Curtis Chapman and his two sons, Caleb and Will Franklin).

All the songs on the CD are one of the many "Silly Songs" sung by Larry in Veggie Tales, with a couple of exceptions.  "His Cheeseburger" is of course, sung as "Love Songs by Mr. Lunt" in Albert's effort to replace Larry (it doesn't work too well).  The other song not from Veggie Tales is "In the Belly of a Whale."  This is an original song by the Newsboys and plays while the credits of "Jonah: A Veggie Tales Movie" roll.

Most of the tracks on this CD represent the familiarity of Veggie Tales, yet have a uniqueness to each one, based on the artist or group.  Each one of the groups took the song and adjusted it just a bit, so they could make it their very own, which makes for a truly unique and fun album.  The only song that isn't really changed that much is Tait's version of "His Cheeseburger."  While still a fun song, it remains pretty close to the Veggie Tales version of the song.
