Heidi Martin, is one of many talented photographers on The Potter's School. She said she's always loved photography, but didn't really get into detailed photography until she was eleven.

She got her first digital camera from her parents for her first tenth birthday. Heidi says she only uses digital photography because she likes having the ability to load pictures onto her computer and then delete them, so she doesn't have to keep buying memory cards. "Also, if I don't like a picture, I'm not stuck with it," she says. Her most recent camer is a Kodak C340 Zoom Digital camera.

Heidi says, "I recently started taking lots of close-ups. I love the effect of just capturing one specific subject instead of whatever happens to be around it also." When asked if she touches up photos using a program like Photoshop or something Heidi said, "If it's a close-up, I don't usually touch it. Other photos I touch up with editing software though."

For most of her pictures, Heidi uses color, but sometimes she usese Sepia tones. However, she does not use black-and-white very often.  Heidi says she likes photography because, "Since I've never been able to draw, photography lets me create! With all the differnet modes, angles, tones, equipment, and subjects it neve gets boring."
