Mr. Samuel Gray made his first appearance on this earth on the 5th of August, 1981, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He grew up in Middletown and Harrisburg, PA, occupying himself with legos, playing soccer, and going to church. Mr. Gray attended Harrisburg Christian School through high school and then moved on to Towson University in Towson, MD.

While at Towson U, Mr. Gray studied mathematics. He graduated in 2003 with a B.S. in Mathematics and a concentration on Applied Mathematics and Computing. He chose a secular university, because the Bible seemed to become too much of a textbook to him. He did not believe the Bible should be presented as a textbook. He also chose Towson because of the scholarship opportunities he had there.

Sam Gray heard about The Potter's School from a youth minister, Dave Reigle, at the church he grew up in. After he graduated from Towson, he was still in part-time ministry and decided that online teaching was a great option for him. Now here at TPS, Mr. Gray teaches HS Propositional Logic, HS Computer Programming II: C++ .NET, and JH Logo to Lego. He loves teaching at TPS and says that it has been a great learning and growing experience. When asked about what he would like to see God do in TPS in the future, Mr. Gray replied, “I would like to see us be able to help serve more missionary families overseas, as well as expand to have a greater impact stateside.”

For the past eight years, Mr. Gray has been serving various churches as a worship pastor. Currently, he leads worship at Forest Christian Fellowship Church, a church in Hampstead, MD, where he now resides. Mr. Gray lives with his wife Sarah, whom he wed in August 2002, and his beautiful daughter Hannah, who was born on June 7, 2003.
