Marriage

Published: Wed, 01 Feb 2006 09:00:00 -0500

I've gotten both good and bad about this poem, but it'll always hold a special place in my heart. It is my belief that God's greatest gift to man, besides the ability to hug, is the wonderful experience of being married. I just can't imagine the day when I'm standing there at the alter and having someone say that they chose me, and just me, out of the billions of people on Earth. It just has to be the best feeling ever. So this poem is a reminder to me that marriage is worth waiting for, and it's a promise to my future wife to always trust her and listen to what she has to say.   -Mike H

Living the wrong side of the right
Oblivious to what I could scorn
It's hard to wage a losing fight
So now I'd really like to be reborn
Needing to be retorn
Supply weapons for my war

I need my mirror room to reveal each side of me and you
But unfortunately our breathing fogs my view
Ironically, censored from me
Is what I really need to see
But instead of feeling cause for concern
I continue to breathe...
