I’ve never been a very daring artist, nor have I ever been really experimental with my art. However, when I was flipping through the booklet that came with Final Fantasy X (which I had just purchased), and saw the amazing computer-generated art, I just knew that I had to attempt to draw one of the pictures. So, I picked the picture of Rikku. I merely sketched a resemblance of the original art, so it doesn’t look life-like or computer generated (mainly because I left out all of the shading), but it was just an experiment. Since it turned out relatively well, I was inspired to try more and more new things with my art. Each piece of art that I draw is a stepping-stone to the next, but this one was a milestone in my career as an artist--and I am extremely thankful for the opportunity to pass that milestone.
