Note on QuebecPublished: Sat, 04 Jun 2005 12:00:00 -0400 My family visited Quebec City, Quebec over the summer of 2004. I thought Quebec City to be very interesting, and I enjoyed all of the 10 days we spent there! Pictured is the beautiful Le Chateau Frontenac Hotel. It stands on the top of the Cap Diamant Cliffs overlooking the St. Lawrence River in the old section of Quebec City. The hotel has been around for over 100 years, and is the landmark of the city. Founded in the late 19th century by William Van Horne, the hotel features 18 floors with over 600 rooms. The Frontenac has had many visits from famous guests including King George VI, Queen Elizabeth, Princess Grace of Monaco, Chiang-Kai-Shek, Charles de Gaulle, Ronald Reagan, and many others. The charming castle-look of the hotel—and beautiful interior—makes it a popular place for travelers to stay. Many guests that stay at this hotel enjoy its old-world charm and it accessibility to the old section of Quebec City. The Frontenac is the most photographed hotel in the world. -JessicaP
