Announcing the arrival of her Royal Highness, Princess Sarina… or not.  Better known to TPSers as Sarina, SarahB is currently sixteen years old and going into the eleventh grade.  Sarah has been home-schooled all her life, and this is her second year with TPS. Currently, Sarah is taking English 10: Introduction to Literature with Mr. Carter, Biology with Mrs. Rathbun, and Latin 1 with Mr. Spotts.  She lives in Forest Hills, New York--approximately fifteen minutes from New York City--with her parents and two siblings.  Josh is 13, and in 8th grade, Rachel is 11, and is supposed to be in 6th grade, but really isn’t.  According to Sarah, “she’s like, a genius.”

 

As declared faithfully on her yearbook page, one of Sarah’s favorite band is Switchfoot.  However, she also loves Interpol, Relient K, The Postal Service, Avril Lavigne, Kelly Clarkson, Jimmy Eat World, All American Rejects, and The Beatles.  Sarah loves to write, and especially enjoys writing poetry, music, and journaling.  Another thing Sarah enjoys is playing piano in her youth group’s band, which she has done for the past year or so.  Sarah has taken piano lessons for nine years. 

 

Books are another of the many things Sarah enjoys.  Some of her favorite authors, books, and series include the Georgia Nicholson series by Louise Rennison, The Bridget Jones Series by Helen Fielding, The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot, and The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks.  Her favorite movies are Meet the Parents, Lords of Dogtown, Titanic, The Princess Bride, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

 

Since she lives so close to New York City, there are several “New York” things that Sarah enjoys doing.  One of those--being the girly-girl she is--is shopping.  She also enjoys going to the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET), and going to China Town and Little Italy.  Sarah admits that she is a sucker for chocolate and jellybeans, but particularly banana jellybeans.  She also has a random obsession with both belts and eye shadow.  Her favorite Disney Princess is Aurora, from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, which--along with Beauty and the Beast--is her favorite Disney movie.

 

So all be in awe of the “wondemous” Princess Sarina, and bow before her awesomeness. Well, not really, but oh well.  But there you have it--that is the wonderful SarahB.
