ElisabethD's Gingerbread HousePublished: Thu, 02 Jun 2005 11:04:00 -0400 This house turned out surprisingly well, considering all the problems I had. I forgot to grease the baking sheet, so one of the walls broke and is now held together with frosting. Since I made the pattern myself, and did not take into consideration the thickness of the walls, there are not any eaves on the front of the house. But it came together very well and turn out to be a pretty gingerbread house. My original plan was to color the powder sugar on the ground green, and put no powdered sugar on the roof, so it would look like a house in the winter from were I live, in the Northwest. Even though I did not do all that I had planed, I really like it. I wish I had had time to make dormers and more windows...but that would have taken forever. - ElisabethD
