CharlieS's Gingerbread House

Charlie Stoker/Computer Generated Gingerbread House
(Image 1 of 1)

I don't have much to say about this gingerbread house...except that it's not gingerbread. Rather, it's a compilation of computer generated shapes. It was made in IMSI's TurboCAD V8 (now out of date, V10 for those who are interested.) It's pretty basic too. Front path, windows, door, frozen pond, and reflective snow (that looks like ice.) The lighting took a while to figure out too, but all those settings were right under my nose. I was surprised that the solid rendering worked, because my DirectX had broken. But TurboCAD uses OpenGL, not DirectX. Once I got those to work, the rest of the model turned out perfectly. I would have liked to add snowflakes in the air, or indoor features, but due to time, couldn't make it. Maybe next year.
