I drew this picture on heavy water-color paper, with a regular pencil. It depicts what you might see on a dark winter night, laying on a braided rug in an old house. I am not much of an artist, so consequentially this picture is not very good. The candle leans to one side and the fireplace is not depicted accurately. It took me a bit of time to get the perspective and size right on the candle. I also had some problems with perspective on the cup and plate. But the finished product looks better than I had anticipated. But as a wise person once said, "You are your work's worst critic." And so I am.
