Regular readers of the Serious Discussion and Debate Forum at TPS know Robert Fee as a concise, witty, understanding contributor to the various ongoing debate threads.

"Rob is a good debater. People tend to listen to what he says," remarked Jacob Clark.

Rob lives just south of Atlanta, Georgia, with his parents, sister Michelle, a black lab, and three cats. The seventeen-year old junior dedicates a large amount of time to Team Policy Debate, which he enjoys with a passion.

"There's nothing like the dripping sweat and adrenaline rush of running top, nine DAs, seven solvency issues, and three rounded Ks while on the 1NR line," he beamed.

Rob’s involvement with speech and debate certainly influences his eloquent and keen insights on the forum. Fellow students not only value the humor he brings to serious discussions but also his skill as a debater.

"Time and time again, he has stepped into a thread with difficult questions and concisely given his opinion, at which point subsequent posts of 'Rob said it best' and 'I agree with Rob, as usual' follow," Jonathan Warta said.

Friends and observers might wonder how Rob can devote time in the Forum both as a participant and moderator when his academic and social life takes so much of his time. A second-year student at TPS, Rob is currently enrolled in Dr. Ryan's Advanced Chemistry class, in which he maintains an A average. At home, Rob's courses are equally as difficult.

"I'm also taking calculus, Bible, history, literature, guitar, piano, writing, and I'm positive I forgot one more," he joked.

Rob's friends admire him for his dedication to his schoolwork, and some consider him a role model for turning in perfected assignments before deadlines.

"Something that is not as easy to see about Rob across a virtual forum of discussion is his diligence; he works for perfection in everything he does," said Zach Parker, Rob's best friend.

Rob plans to major in an engineering field at Georgia Tech right after his graduation from high school. Current interests for a major include particular materials engineering, electrical engineering, and chemical engineering.

Despite Rob's rigorous studies, he finds time to retain an assortment of jobs, which have included the construction of an airplane hangar office and involvement with landscaping and lawn care. He also pursues other activities and responsibilities.

"I don't suppose you need to know about part time jobs, attempts to teach myself C++, loads of chores, reading poetry, building weird stuff, emailing, and foruming. I like to stay busy most times," Rob remarked humorously.

He also remains active at his home church, Midway Presbyterian. Regardless of all the demands and dedication of his time, however, Rob takes care to commit time to his family and friends.

"I am glad to have him as a brother and friend," his sister Michelle said.

"It's hard to say something nice about Rob because there are so many nice things about him," Zach admits. "It's particularly hard to find people in this age who are so people-friendly, not afraid to introduce themselves to people, and [are] able to carry an intelligent and fun conversation with that person. Rob does."

Certainly of all Rob's personality traits and characteristics, his friendliness, humor, accountability, and dedication stand out to those who know him.
